Predatory would be the polite way to describe it. It's limited at best, and intentionally made hard to move away from. SLOBS is just a cut-down, hamfisted, hacksawed fork of OBS with the front end chopped off and a webpage slapped over it, set up to lure and lock newbies into their paid vertical. There's a steep but short learning curve once you get past that, it's easily the best streaming software currently available. A ridiculous number of plugins and extensions are available for it, letting you do amazing things.

It's incredibly powerful, extensible, and free.
